I hope the creator of this amazing rendition reads this, possibly the weirdest non-related comment: this helped me. You helped me. After going through a horrible breakup, the type that shows you the person you loved was someone completely different than who they actually are. I went back to that fight and cried as I realized how peaceful Zuko was. No grunting. No shouting. A master of his element that had come to terms with his past. It is only when you realize that even the people you swear to love can be harmful for you, that you can fully understand what this 16 yo boy went through. Always move on from the places you can no longer be you. Own yourself. Own your emotions. Let go.

Maybe in Zuko's mind: I never really loved my father, he was always mean to me, hurt me. I even advised Aang to "STOP" him. I hated my father to the end. But for Azula, my 14 year old sister, someone who also has my mother's blood, when I saw her cry, I could feel how desperate she was after everything she had been through. Taken advantage of by our evil toxic father, betrayed by her best friends, she is lonely and full of insanity and trauma. Deep in my heart, I wanted her to get a second chance to be a better person. I want her to meet Uncle Iroh, so she can learn to find her own way, to be a good and wise person. She IS an incredible firebanding master. I want her to be by my side, so that together we can maintain balance in the world. I do care about her. I want to take her with me to meet our mother. So she could hear what she really wanted to hear, which was "I love you, Azula" from our mother.
